About Me

My passion is auto racing - there's no other challenge quite like it

I am a graduate student studying engineering in Toronto. I've always wanted to race cars, but never really had the opportunity in the past. In 2005, I took the plunge with a 1985.5 Porsche 944. The 944 is a good entry-level car; it's well balanced, has good handling, and relatively inexpensive to maintain.

I joined the Porsche Club of America and signed up for many Driver's Education events that are held in the Upper Canada Region (in southern Ontario). Additionally, I signed up for several out of region events. In the end, I managed to rack up an incredible 16 track days in my first summer at venues such as Mosport, Watkins Glen and Mt. Tremblant.

In April 2006, I attended the HRC Racing School course at Shannonville and received my regional racing license shortly thereafter.

I founded Zedd Racing to compete in regional racing as the principal driver. Zedd Racing is a team comprised of race enthusiasts who volunteer their time and equipment to support to compete in Ontario regional races.. My primary goal is to push strategy and skill to the limit in order to compete against teams with bigger budgets and achieve podium finishes.

As the 944 qualifies as a vintage car in the G70 class, I decided that my first event should be the VARAC 27th Vintage Racing Festival at the end of June. In July, I also raced in the 944 Cup series and the Porsche Club Race, both at Mosport.

My longer term goal is to be able to race a competitive car in a national series.

Please drop me a line if you are interested in sponsoring Zedd Racing. We are looking for financial or in-kind sponsorships. Any other manner of support is also welcomed.

Dora.
